This planner calculates every material you need to craft items in Starsand Island, including the materials of materials, and lets you tick them off as you gather them.

How to use the calculator

1. Type or pick an item in Select Item. Use Tool Filter to list only the items made with one tool, such as the Worktable or the Gas Stove.
2. Enter how many you want and press Add Plan. You can add as many items as you like.
3. Raw Materials shows what you have to gather, with the location when it is known. All Materials also includes intermediate materials such as ingots and planks.
4. Recipe Map shows the full recipe tree with the tool for each step. Tick a checkbox when you finish a step; ticking an item also ticks everything below it.

Frequently asked questions

Why do the totals sometimes exceed what I asked for?

Some recipes make more than one item at a time (for example, a recipe that makes 4). The calculator rounds up to whole crafts, so it may plan for a few extra.

Is my plan saved?

Yes. Your cart and checkmarks are saved in your browser, so they are still there when you come back on the same device and browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Some items have a number after the name, like "(2)". Why?

A few different items share the same name in the game. The number tells them apart so you can pick the right recipe.

Where does the recipe data come from, and how often is it updated?

Recipes, item names and machine names come from the game data of the latest version and are updated after game updates. See the changelog for the last update.

Can I use the calculator in Japanese?

Yes. Press the JA/EN button at the top right of the calculator. Item names switch to the official Japanese names.
